Refund policy

At Okami Blades, we stand behind every knife we ship. If you're not completely satisfied, you have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return or refund.

Return Window

Returns must be initiated within 30 days of delivery. Items received after the 30-day window are not eligible for a refund but may be eligible for an exchange or store credit at our discretion.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

  • In its original, unused condition
  • In its original packaging, including any protective saya, blade guard, or gift-box materials
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase (order number or receipt)

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Knives that have been used, sharpened, or resharpened
  • Knives with visible signs of use, cleaning chemicals, or damage from misuse
  • Knives personalized or engraved with custom initials or text
  • Gift cards

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Email info@okamiblades.com with your order number and the reason for the return.
  2. We'll respond within 2 business days with return instructions and the return shipping address.
  3. Pack the knife securely in its original packaging. Ship it back using a trackable carrier (we recommend USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground).
  4. Keep the tracking number for your records. Okami Blades is not responsible for returns lost in transit without tracking.

Return Shipping Costs

Return shipping is paid by the customer unless the return is the result of our error (wrong item shipped, defect on arrival, damage in transit). In those cases, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label.

Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you by email. If approved:

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–7 business days of approval.
  • Your bank or card issuer may take an additional 2–10 business days to post the refund.
  • The original shipping fee (if any) is non-refundable.
  • Restocking fees: none.

Exchanges

We accept exchanges within 30 days of purchase. If you'd like a different knife, contact us at info@okamiblades.com before shipping anything back, and we'll guide you through the exchange process. The customer is responsible for any price difference between the original and replacement item.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your knife arrives damaged or with a manufacturing defect:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery at info@okamiblades.com
  • Include photos of the damage or defect and photos of the original packaging
  • We will ship a free replacement at our cost β€” no return needed for obviously defective items

Our Lifetime Craft Warranty covers defects in material and workmanship for the life of the product.

Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled within 12 hours of placement for a full refund. After 12 hours, the order may have shipped β€” in which case, our standard return policy above applies.

International Returns

International customers are welcome to return items under the same 30-day policy. International return shipping costs and any customs/duty fees are the responsibility of the customer.
